What initially drew you to the real estate industry? Being invited to join LIV Sotheby’s International Realty five years ago gave me the opportunity to join a truly global, luxury brand that services all people. It integrated my world travel experiences, love of great architecture, and multi-lingual skills into my day-to-day life. I love making personal connections and building relationships – each person and property has its own set of challenges and stories. Through the real estate process, I have been able to create change and offer a way for people to reach their goals. I am rewarded with friendships that are forged and the business that we accomplish together. The real estate industry allows me financial success and to live my best life.
What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career? When people ask what areas I work in I say, Colfax to Black Hawk to Cherry Hills. My biggest accomplishment has been bringing deals to the finish line of all types and sizes – from the one-bedroom investment property on East Colfax to the $4M estates in Cherry Hills Village and Denver Country Club. Sometimes the smallest deals involve the most creativity and determination in solving problems and reaching solutions that are a win-win for everyone.
What makes LIV Sotheby’s International Realty unique? What I love about LIV Sotheby’s International Realty is being a part of a global luxury brand that is recognized for all of the things found on the LIV Coin that you see in my social media – people, integrity, service, and innovation. Our focus is on helping our clients achieve their real estate goals that fit with their family and lifestyle. The world of real estate is constantly shifting so we adjust to meet the needs of our clients through innovative approaches and a commitment to be the best. I personally love that everywhere in the world that I go, I am a part of the incredible Sotheby’s International Realty family. Every time I see a SIR office or a sign in front of a property, I know that it stands for our commitment to excellence.
What is a trend that you are keeping your eye on right now in the industry? Urban infill development is a trend that I have been so fortunate to be a part of – watching old neighborhoods that were depleted be infused with new love, energy, and life while maintaining their character and integrity. This has created opportunities for first-time home buyers and to developers through tax credits. It is an incredible chance to live and invest in communities that have long been the heartbeat of the city and are now getting a new face and a fresh start.
Personally, what drives you in this industry? I love people. I enjoy building new relationships and friendships through real estate whether it is with title companies, lenders, inspectors, or clients. It is about understanding my clients, their goals, and getting to solutions. I believe in being authentic, relevant, honest, connected, and a student of the game.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of the office? Duke basketball – is there anything better? I am the class of ’94 Blue Devils (back-to-back national champs with Christian Laettner, Grant Hill, and Bobby Hurley). I also enjoy playing golf on the beautiful mountain courses. Reb3l Groove is my cardio (#pandemicpause) and hiking the trails. I also love rosé on a beautiful day in Colorado (and we have so many of those).
