At LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, our people make the difference! Learn more about one of our remarkable brokers, Ron Martinez, in his personal Q&A.

How long have you been in the real estate industry for? I have been in the Denver real estate community as a broker associate/realtor since 2001.

What initially drew you to the real estate industry? I was drawn to the industry to create a greater outreach for my skills of bringing people together. As a former headhunter in the field of technology, I found it rather seamless to listen to the needs of my clients and help achieve their ultimate real estate goals.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career? The biggest accomplishment of my career has been to look at the diversity in which my clients have provided me. From their first home to their retirement home. Their first small rental property to their first six-plex and from their current family home to adding a second home in the mountains. My clients have looked to me as the trusted guide to their real state needs.

What makes LIV Sotheby’s International Realty unique? The world-class brand name and international outreach are unmatched. The LIV Sotheby’s International Realty culture is on the cutting edge with all technology, marketing, and current market data.

Personally, what drives you in this industry? Market and current data knowledge is a must in this market and I believe that I have it all. I am driven in this market knowing that I can compete and ultimately help my clients reach their real estate goals.

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about carrying on the name of a friend that passed away due to a tragic accident in 2001. I have done this by helping to create the Sean Lough Foundation which has, to date, sent 62 kids in need to my alma mater, Colorado State University, on four-year scholarships. This is a huge achievement and very gratifying to me to see these kids attend a four-year college and succeed without the financial burdens that come with attending college.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of the office? I love the Colorado outdoors. I ski, fly fish, travel, and hike with my wife Debra. I am also a professionally trained fundraising Auctioneer.

What’s your favorite part about living and working in Colorado? I am a Colorado native. My first memories have always been about the people of Colorado. My grandparents were ranchers in the San Luis Valley.

What community do you live in? What do you like about it? My wife and I live in the Sloan’s Lake area of the Highlands, just West of downtown Denver. I have lived in several areas in the Highlands since 2001. I enjoy the mass-mixed cultures of the greater Highlands neighborhoods.
