How long have you been in the real estate industry for? 14 years.
What initially drew you to the real estate industry? I grew up around construction and real estate as a kid. My dad was a custom builder so I was always interested in properties. I started my career in finance in New York City with Bear Stearns, so I brought a good financial background to the business which I felt made me uniquely qualified to buy and sell high-end luxury second homes.
What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career? I’ve had so many but two that come to mind are starting the Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate in Vail, as I have been such a big believer in the brand, and selling the most expensive home in the Vail Valley’s history for two years in a row. 107 Rockledge Road sold for $23,000,000 in 2017 and again in 2018.
Personally, what drives you in this industry? Relationships and making deals drive me. I care deeply about pleasing our clients and feel I am a strong negotiator.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of the office? I love skiing, going on big hikes and fly-fishing. I have climbed several of Colorado’s fourteeners.
What community do you live in? What do you like about it? I live in Vail in an area called Booth Falls. I love living in the heart of Vail as I feel so connected to the experience and to why I originally moved to Vail. It allows me to be immersed in the community and understand all the neighborhoods. We can ride bikes into town, walk to the golf course/Nordic ski trails, and pop into town easily for a stay-cation.
