Bob McCarroll, managing broker for LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s Evergreen office, was recently appointed by the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners to serve on the Jefferson County Cultural Council, a part of the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). McCarroll will serve this position until December 31, 2020.
“The visual arts, sciences, and music have always been an important part of my life and my livelihood before real estate,” added McCarroll. “I see this volunteer opportunity as an extension of my personal interests as well as a way of giving back to the community which has provided a fulfilling life for me.”
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners serves as the county’s governing body with a mission “to promote the safety, health and well-being of the Jefferson County community and the stewardship of its resources”. As a member of the County Cultural Council, McCarroll will assist in a variety of duties including: reassess county grant guidelines, participate in grant workshops, review applications, provide funding recommendations, and evaluate in the process.
