LIV SIR’s Chris Lynn Honored with “Community Award”

Saturday, May 19, 2018 LIV Sotheby’s International Realty (LIV SIR) broker Chris Lynn was honored with the Community Award at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale gala held at the Hilton Denver City Denver.

“It is an honor to be named a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year Campaign (MWOY) for 2018,” said Chris Lynn. “I congratulate all the winners who campaigned, and am humbled to receive the Community Award. This campaign is not about me, but about raising money to fight for and to save lives!”

The event was a culmination of a 10-week fundraising competition and celebration of all the hard work put forth by the 2018 candidates on behalf of the Rocky Mountain chapter of LLS. For their efforts, the chapter identifies two candidates who represent the best of our community; people who go the extra mile to help others and present them with awards.

The Man & Woman of the Year Citizenship Awards are presented in two categories: Mission and Community. These honorees were voted on by a committee of past candidates and chosen based on who they felt represented these categories most. The Community Award is given to the candidate that best incorporates and inspires his or her community through this campaign. Award recipients include Community Award, Chris Lynn; Man of the Year, Jeff Matous; Woman of the Year, Ansley Tripp; Girl of the Year, Payton Allen. (I would eliminate the GOY, it is an appointed position. You could include Mission Award: Jason Thomas)

Lynn, along with the entire Denver class of MWOY candidates managed to raise over $1,572,424 for the LLS mission, which is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

“This candidate (Chris Lynn) became involved with LLS many years ago through ‘Team In Training’ after losing his wife to AML,” says Bryan Austin, LLS Man of the Year alumni. “Throughout the campaign, he has rallied colleagues, friends, family and past ‘Team In Training’ participants to help him fundraise. They have organized many events throughout the Denver community to engage different networks and people. They planned work happy hours, percentage back nights, musical cabarets, catered dinners, and more! His campaign has truly embodied the approach of every dollar adds up and can make a significant impact!”

LIV Sotheby’s International Realty congratulates Chris Lynn and all the candidates, adding that “Lynn exemplifies what our brokerage stands for.” LIV SIR brokers and support staff are largely involved in the firm’s #LIVtoGive campaign, which encourages community involvement and support of local philanthropic efforts.
